Intravenous Infusion
This medicine is a liquid solution. It is placed into your vein, using a needle. It can be given at an infusion centre. An IV infusion lasts roughly 1 hour, but be prepared that infusion reactions may occur. It is for these reasons that a nurse or healthcare professional will be there for that hour to monitor you.
Like the first infusion, the IV infusion can cause a number of side effects. It is crucial that you call 911 right away if you experience any of the following symptoms:
- Abdominal pain
- Dizziness
- Shortness of breathing and/or breathing problems
- Chest pain
- Swelling of the face and/or tongue
